This video showcases how the Tibitoc Drinking Water Treatment Plant in Colombia is incorporating ozone technology as a second disinfection barrier to strengthen the safety of the drinking water supplied to millions of people. Through a technology pilot supported by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), an innovative solution is being evaluated to eliminate chlorine-resistant microorganisms such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia, with a particular focus on protecting vulnerable populations.
