Public spaces have always played a key role in shaping communities, but modern life is changing the way we interact with our environments. At Bloomberg CityLab 2026, Director of the MIT Senseable City Lab Carlo Ratti explored how he’s using artificial intelligence to better understand how people use public plazas and how we can design spaces that foster deeper connections.
