His doctoral research investigates the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in addressing corruption within the public procurement sector in South Africa. While AI provides opportunities to enhance transparency and efficiency, its implementation also raises ethical and regulatory concerns. This study seeks to assess the effectiveness of AI utilisation in public procurement to combat corruption. The study aims to offer insights to policymakers by examining the legal frameworks, ethical considerations, and operational prerequisites necessary for establishing effective regulations. Ultimately, it promotes a culture of accountability and integrity in public procurement through the responsible application of AI.
