Globalization, urbanization, and economic growth are rapidly reshaping food environments, driving shifts in dietary patterns and increasing the risk of nutritional challenges. The CGIAR Science Program on Better Diets and Nutrition (BDN) aims to address these issues by stimulating both the demand for and supply of sustainable nutritious foods. This seminar will feature BDN’s work related to consumers and their food environments in Ethiopia. Presentations will highlight evidence on healthiness of diets, access, and consumer perceptions, drawing from both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Researchers from the International Food Policy Research Institute, the Alliance of Bioversity and CIAT, and the Ethiopian Public Health Institute will share key findings, and stakeholders from the education, agriculture, and health sectors will reflect on the implications for implementation and policies to improve diets and food environments in Ethiopia.
