In this interview, Enaam, a journalist and from El Genina, West Darfur, recounts her experiences amidst Sudan's violent conflict. Her narrative delves into the complexities of war, displacement, and the personal toll it takes on those who live through it. The MiCT Fellowship for Critical Voices is a protection initiative for journalists from crisis and conflict regions. Over 60 Sudanese journalists have received shelter, relocation, health support (including mental health), legal aid, and financial assistance. This support is funded by UNESCO’s International Programme for the Development of Communication and the Crisis Response Mechanism of the Global Media Defence Fund. The Hannah-Arendt-Initiative, backed by the German Foreign Office and the Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media, also supports the initiative.
