EverydayNile Uganda: Telling Nile stories through photography

The EverydayNile exhibition at Nommo Gallery in Uganda brought together photographers from ten Nile Basin countries to share visual stories of life, nature, and biodiversity along the river. Organised by MiCT in collaboration with regional partners, the exhibition highlighted the critical role of journalism and photography in raising awareness of the Nile’s environmental and cultural importance. With support from InfoNile, The Niles, Nile Basin Initiative, and FOTEA, the exhibition showcased stories that connect people, places, and ecosystems across borders. Participating photojournalists explored how biodiversity, human life, and water are deeply interlinked—and how storytelling can help protect them. Video: November 2024 / FOTEA
