In November 2025, SIWI's David Mingasson co-organized a Regional Technical Capacity-Building Workshop, with CIFOR-ICRAF under the Transforming Investments in African Rainfed Agriculture (TIARA) initiative. This workshop, supported by the Leopold Bachman Foundation, brought together NGOs from Malawi (Tiyeni), Zimbabwe (Community Technology Development Trust & FACHIG), and Zambia (Community Markets for Conservation (COMACO)) as well as representatives from the Government of Zambia. Across the week, participants advanced a shared regional agenda for climate-resilient water governance and sustainable landscape management in the Zambezi River Basin—an ecosystem of major economic importance and growing climate vulnerability.
