A concise overview of how nature can be integrated into urban development to improve public health and wellbeing, presented in “Healthy cities by nature: integrating public health and the environment”, the first session of the EFI Biocities webinar series, held on 3 June 2026. The session was led by Simone Borelli (EFI Biocities Senior Expert) and highlighted the role of natural environments in supporting physical and mental health, how cities are incorporating these benefits into policy and planning, and how different local contexts shape the implementation of nature-based solutions.
