In the second of his presentations at the launch of Young Lives Ethiopia’s Qual 6 research report 'Experiences of Young Lives During Crises in Ethiopia', Dr Yisak Tafere (Lead Qualitative Researcher) presented powerful evidence on key life transitions in times of crises in Ethiopia. The presentation examines young people’s educational, employment and migration trends and experiences. It highlights the changes in education, un(der)employment and migration faced by young people since 2019, shaped by economic hardship, the impacts of COVID-19 and conflict in Northern Ethiopia.
