At least ten million children worldwide spend their childhoods hidden away, working in private homes. Exploited behind closed doors, these invisible children face long and tiring days and hazardous conditions. They are denied their right to education, proper compensation and protection, often compounded by extreme neglect, physical and sexual abuse. This meets the definition of worst forms of child labour, amounting to modern slavery.
