Building Inclusive Climate Leadership in Ethiopia: Youth-Led CDKN Training
In 2025, CDKN Ethiopia delivered a Training of Trainers (ToT) on integrating Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) into climate change programming, using the CDKN GESI-CC training module. A select group of national GESI-CC Community of Practice members participated in this initial training.
Youth participants from the ToT subsequently cascaded the training to their peers through a three‑day workshop involving youth-led climate initiatives and university students.
The programme strengthened participants’ understanding of gender dynamics, social inclusion, and how these intersect with climate change. Equipped with new tools and shared learning, participants are now better prepared to advocate for inclusive, gender-responsive climate action, helping shape equitable and effective climate solutions in their communities and beyond.
