IVI's 24th International Vaccinology Course: Seoul
Highlights from the Seoul site of the International Vaccine Institute's 24th International Vaccinology Course, where over 350 participants from six continents spent five days learning about vaccines in a changing world.
The course brought together students, researchers, clinicians, and public health professionals to explore topics ranging from vaccine development to implementation challenges. Participants engaged in collaborative case studies, presented research posters, and visited local facilities to see vaccine R&D and manufacturing in action.
This year's theme focused on innovation and access: how to develop new and better vaccines while ensuring they reach the communities that need them most. The Seoul site was one of three locations hosting the course simultaneously, alongside Kigali (at IRCAD) and Stockholm (at Karolinska Institutet).
This annual course has trained nearly 6,000 professionals over 24 years, creating a network of alumni working across every part of the vaccine field to build a more equitable and healthier world.
