Highlights from the 2025 Introductory Course for Standard Practice (GxP)
IVI conducted the 2025 Introductory Course for Standard Practice (GxP), offered through the Global Training Hub for Biomanufacturing (GTH-B) program, from October 27 to November 14 in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The in-person training brought together 143 participants from 37 countries for an intensive introduction to the essential standards that guide high quality biomanufacturing.
The course is part of GTH-B’s mandate, established by the World Health Organization and the Republic of Korea, to strengthen biomanufacturing capacity in low and middle income countries (LMICs) by developing a skilled workforce capable of producing safe, effective, and reliable vaccines and biologics.
Throughout the program, participants engaged in lectures, lab practicums, and facility tours, gaining foundational competencies across:
✅ Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
✅ Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
✅ Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP)
✅ Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
✅ Biosafety and quality systems
This training supports GTH-B’s effort to expand global biomanufacturing capacity and reduce inequities in access to vaccines and biologics, while contributing to IVI’s mission to improve global health through vaccines and capacity building in LMICs.
