Rare Footage of Cubs Highlights Hope for Wild Tigers in China

In the forests of northeast China, camera traps have recorded four wild Amur tiger cubs — a sign that decades of conservation are paying off. WWF-China has supported the restoration of over 1,000km² of habitat, trained 1,000+ rangers, supported 50 Nature Educators, piloted coexistence projects that help communities live alongside tigers, while SMART patrols are reducing poaching and protecting critical habitats. These four cubs could be the start of tiger recovery, eventually moving to regions that haven’t seen wild tigers in decades.
