Getting Ready for Outreachy Contribution Stage

The Outreachy December 2023 internship Cohort is few months starts in a few month! The Contribution, application, stage which begins in a few days requires applicant to pick any projects of their choice from the list of participating mentoring communities projects and contribute to it for the next few weeks. Outreachy applicants are required to make at least one contribution to an Outreachy project. Only applicants who make a contribution will be eligible to be selected as an intern. In this session, the Outreachy organizers will explain expectations, and give insights on picking projects, reaching out to the community and mentors, communicating, and overcoming fears. Outreachy provides internships to people subject to systemic bias and impacted by underrepresentation in the technical industry where they are living. Outreachy internships are: 💵 Paid - $7,000 USD total internship stipend 🌍 Remote - both interns and mentors work remotely 🕰 3 months - internships run from May to August, or December to March Outreachy has internship projects in both open source and open science.
