Welcome to this video on a feedback conversation between a teacher educator and a student teacher. This video has been developed to support mentors and student teachers in understanding and improving the practice of conducting effective feedback conversations. The teacher educator provides opportunities for the mentee who is student teacher to reflect on teaching practice and to actively share their thoughts and opinions. In addition, the mentor offers constructive feedback and guidance aimed at developing the mentee’s teaching skills and professional growth, using the six steps of providing feedback along with a set of specific mentoring skills. A typical session takes 10 to 20 minutes.
