BALI OCEAN DAYS PODCAST TALK SHOWS is a monthly program developed by Sky Blue Sea Foundation and Darmawan Associates in partnership with the Coral Triangle Center and Metro TV, our official media partner @metrotvtoday. Our new podcast highlights Indonesia-based organizations that share values of ecological transition, nature conservation and protection of communities in order to lower carbon emissions, preserve biodiversity and mitigate climate change. Day after day, one step at a time, but with a clear long-term vision to promote a sustainable future on our Blue Planet. We want to raise awareness and educate about coastal and marine ecosystems and their critical role in sustaining life on earth, but also more generally about what it means to foster sustainable development in respect of communities, all living creatures and our environment. We want to inspire the green leaders of tomorrow, develop networking opportunities and initiate collaborations between public and private decision-makers, impact entrepreneurs, NGOs, academics and scientists. Critical waste treatment and plastic pollution issues on our island have led to the formation of one of the largest TPA (Waste Disposal Site) in Indonesia, driving hundreds of men, women and children to scavenge whatever they can to make a living in hidden poverty. Plastic Angels, associated with Ragam and Bali Life Foundation, brings food and clean water to the kids of Suwung and teach them about sustainability and healthcare basic principles.
