Arusha, 06 March 2026: The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR) delivered today, 6 March 2026 six (6) decisions adopted during its 78th and 79th Ordinary Sessions, at the Seat of the Court in Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania. The delivery of decisions start from 10:00AM, as the Court begins deliberations for its 80th Ordinary Session of the Court, which is being held from 2-27 March 2026. Decisions was delivered in the following cases: Application No 045/2019 – Moses Amos Mwakasindile v United Republic of Tanzania Application No. 060/2019 – Elizani Eliabu alias Mshana v United Republic of Tanzania Application No. 066/2019 – Song Lei v. United Republic of Tanzania Consolidated Applications No 040/2020 and No 043/2020 – Abdul Omary Nondo and Others v. United Republic of Tanzania Application No. 041/2020 – Legal and Human Rights Centre and Another v. United Republic of Tanzania Application No. 046/2020 – Ado Shaibu and Others v. United Republic of Tanzania The delivery of decisions is open to members of the general public, either on-site at the seat of the Court in Arusha.
