Across the Pacific right now, communities are being affected by active disasters
Last week in Fiji, disaster and emergency managers from 22 Pacific Island countries and territories, alongside civil society, development partners, and regional organisations, gathered to discuss challenges, solutions, and lessons learnt from the work that helps to ensure communities get the fastest, most coordinated response possible.
✅ The best response is the one that was already in motion. That means systems that talk to each other, partners who know each other, and plans that were built together long before the moment of crisis.
🌪️🌀 The 2026 Pacific Regional Disaster and Emergency Managers Meeting continues to build on this legacy.
Pacific communities deserve a response that is ready.
