South Sudan Mental Health

One in five people in conflict settings suffers from a mental health condition. In South Sudan, grief, fear and prolonged exposure to violence have left many people struggling in silence. IOM teams provide services at Mental Health and Psychosocial Support centers and through mobile response, including individual and group counselling, psychoeducation, psychological first aid, income generating and recreational activities and awareness sessions to build resilience and improve the psychological well-being of individuals, families and communities.
