In 2014, Gatkuoth escaped violence and found safety in South Sudan’s largest displacement camp, located in Bentiu. Despite years of uncertainty, Gatkuoth remained hopeful for a brighter future for his children. Today, with support from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, IOM is enhancing services in return areas - helping families like Gatkuoth's leave the camp and rebuild their communities with dignity and stability.
