Across villages in Berat, Lushnje, and Fier, greenhouse vegetable farmers are applying new ways to protect their crops naturally with the use of beneficial insects. With the support of GIZ Albania, farmers first tested biological control methods in a few pilot greenhouses. The results were clear: • Healthier crops • Reduced pesticide use • Safer product for consumers. Now, these pilots are expanding. Step by step, the approach is reaching more villages and more greenhouses, bringing benefits to even more farmers.
