After two weeks of negotiations and critical conversations, the UN Climate Talks in Bonn are coming to a close. While there is anger at rich countries' attempt to break their recent promise to triple adaptation finance, there were encouraging advances towards a just transition mechanism that places people, equity, and communities at the heart of climate action. As we look ahead to COP31, ActionAid remains committed to championing climate justice, securing increased adaptation finance, and driving urgent action for those bearing the greatest burden of the climate crisis.
