Education overhaul
If we know education needs an overhaul, why does real change happen so slowly?
The challenge isn’t just a matter of political will or careful change management—it’s about structure. In this video, Thomas Arnett explains how schools exist in a complex web of relationships and policies that dictate their priorities.
Realistically, reinventing education won’t come from working with existing stakeholders to shift the priorities of a system. It has to come from stepping outside the existing system to invent new models from the ground up—where dramatic redesign efforts aren’t expected to maintain the parts of the status quo that people rely on.
