Forests are home to countless wild animals. They’re vital for the communities who live in and around them. They’re the key to a stable climate, and essential for all of life on earth. The Amazon, the world’s biggest rainforest, is being pushed towards a point of no return. If deforestation continues, much of the forest is likely to decay, dry out and die. Because forests like the Amazon absorb up to one third of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, without them we cannot hope to meet climate targets.
