George Ross | Mott Foundation 100 Voices
Dr. George Ross is a proud graduate of Flint Northern High School who went on to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Michigan State University and a Ph.D. in higher education administration from the University of Alabama before completing postdoctoral studies at Harvard University. The son of a Mississippi sharecropper, he served as president of Alcorn University and then Central Michigan University. He reflects on how he benefitted during junior high and high school from programs supported by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, an organization he now helps to guide as a trustee. He wishes the Foundation Godspeed as we enter our second century.
