'We are yesterday’s generation, but the trees are our future' - In memory of Linda Smith

The East Marsh ward in Grimsby is a community that faces challenges. Life can be tough for many here but on 9th February 2023, we showed the rest of the town the true, beautiful spirit of the Marsh, planting 30 trees in Grant Thorold Park and people from across the town turned out en-masse to help. Every tree planted that day holds meaning to someone and is very much loved by us all, but there’s one tree in particular that is extra special. This one was planted by Linda, a woman at the heart of the East Marsh community. #shorts
