In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS Tirana), we held the second Steering Committee meeting for the project "Reducing Gender-Based Violence and Harmful Practices through Gender-Responsive Governance," supported by the Italian Government. The meeting focused on the progress made throughout 2025 and outlined the upcoming milestones. Members unanimously approved the 2025 Progress Report and the 2026 Work Plan. Our Mission: The project aims to strengthen local governance through gender-responsive initiatives, promote the empowerment of women and girls, uphold human rights, and contribute to the elimination of violence against women and girls. Impact on the Ground: Our work continues in partnership with 9 municipalities and 9 Coordinated Referral Mechanisms to reinforce protection systems and services that support women and girls in the face of violence.
