We at UNFPA Albania are happy to welcome 45 people from 15 countries in a Regional workshop on the degree of urbanization, organized by UNFPA Eastern Europe & Central Asia in partnership with the EU Joint Research Center and UNFPA HQ. Urbanization is one of mega-trends driving the demographic shifts in our region and we are pleased that Governments and Statistical Offices from our region will be able to use the new Degree of Urbanization approach in line with Eurostat requirements and United Nations recommendations.
