(English subtitles available)
The Theorical-Practical Course on the Study of Neglected Diseases: Diagnosis, Molecular Epidemiology and Applied Bioinformatics was held in México City in March 2024.
Hosted at Unidad de Medicina Experimental of the Facultad de Medicina - UNAM, it sought three objectives:
1) To update the trainees on the molecular diagnosis of various neglected diseases that are important in public health, epidemiology, and bioinformatics tools for the analysis of diseases.
2) To instruct students in new tools for the timely and accurate diagnosis of neglected diseases.
3) To practice recognizing the different vectors (sand flies, mosquitoes, ticks, lice, fleas, and kissing bugs).
We congratulate Dr. Ingeborg Becker on a great first experience!
