Ludovic Abanda wants more people to see the beauty of Cameroon, and the wildlife that makes it so unique. As the founder of the “Visiter le Cameroun avec moi” blog, Ludovic encourages people to travel, discover new places, and reconnect with nature. But it was a visit to Campo Ma’an National Park that changed his perspective on conservation. There, he encountered a Giant Ground Pangolin for the first time. After learning how rarely these animals are seen and how heavily pangolins are hunted for bushmeat, he realised there was an urgent need to raise awareness within his community about the importance of protecting wildlife. Today, Ludovic uses tourism and storytelling to inspire change. Through affordable educational trips to Cameroon’s national parks, he hopes to give more people the chance to experience wildlife firsthand — and become ambassadors for conservation themselves. His vision is for Cameroon to become the tourist destination it deserves to be, while ensuring its wildlife is protected for generations to come.
