Women in Japan: Breakthroughs in Female Business Leadership (ENG version)

On 13 July 2022, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Japan organised its third in the series of events titled, 'Women in Japan: Breakthroughs in Female Business Leadership'. The 'Women in Japan' series aims to explore current developments in Japan's gender environment. Although Japan faces a variety of gender-related issues, our event series will concentrate specifically on the political and economic fields, where the Japanese government has been focusing policy efforts for some time without significant success, and where Japan lags behind other countries. We will also address social issues which might be underlying contributory factors in these areas. The 'Women in Japan: Breakthroughs in Female Business Leadership' webinar focused on understanding how other countries elevate women into leadership positions in business. For this webinar, we looked at Germany, a country which has historically similar views on gender roles to Japan but is more advanced in gender issues. #KASJapan #WomeninJapan
