The Idea That Could Change How Persons with Disabilities Shop Online
What happens when you see a problem no one else is solving? You build the solution.
Meet Samson Dzivor, a young Ghanaian innovator who turned a real-life challenge into a powerful idea. After witnessing a visually impaired colleague struggle to navigate e-commerce platforms, Samson set out to create technology that makes digital spaces more accessible and inclusive.
His solution enables persons with disabilities to independently access digital platforms, engage with online services, and make informed decisions without relying on assistance from others. By integrating local language support, the technology also helps bridge language barriers, ensuring more people can participate in the digital economy.
Through the Young Africa Innovates (YAI) Programme, supported by the Mastercard Foundation and implemented by UNDP, Samson strengthened his entrepreneurial journey by refining his problem statement, sharpening his solution, and identifying the communities he aims to serve.
“Giving up is not an option, and I want to prove that people with disabilities can contribute to and benefit from our communities.”
Watch Samson's story and discover how youth-led innovation is creating a more inclusive future for all.
