Cooperation between Germany and Peru for the circular economy shows how international cooperation can mobilise investment, technology and business partnerships. Through the ProCircular project, co-funded by the European Union and German development cooperation, implemented by GIZ, the needs of Peru’s productive sector are connected with German technology, financing and business opportunities. As part of Team Germany, working as an integrated system, GIZ identifies technological demand, the German-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Peru) structures the business supply, and Euler Hermes, through the German government’s Export Credit Guarantees, facilitates investment in sustainable solutions. Peru thus becomes a concrete example of how German cooperation can drive the transition towards a circular economy, connecting innovation, financing and companies to strengthen sustainable and competitive markets.
