As Bangladesh advances toward large-scale renewable energy integration, preparing the power grid and workforce is essential. Through the Energy Efficiency and Grid Integration of Renewable Energy (EEGIRE II) project, GIZ Bangladesh, together with the Power Division supports modern grid technologies and practical learning environments. The video highlights key initiatives including the Grid Studies and Innovation Facility (GSIF), the country’s first Battery Energy Storage System learning facility, digital grid monitoring through Wide Area Monitoring Systems, and AI-based load forecasting tools. Alongside technology deployment, EEGIRE II focuses on hands-on training and capacity development for power sector professionals. These combined efforts contribute to a more resilient, efficient, and future-ready power system for Bangladesh and demonstrate the value of German-Bangladesh cooperation in the energy transition.
