GIZ, in collaboration with the ICI Foundation, has initiated a series of training courses for government officials on human rights due diligence and monitoring actions to combat child labor. At the same time, it has supported the Direction de la Lutte contre le Travail des Enfants (DLTE) in implementing a pilot phase aimed at strengthening SOSTECI bodies, particularly local SOSTECI committees in the Cavally region (western Côte d'Ivoire). With a view to creating synergy between private and public actors in the cocoa sector in the fight against child labor, agents from export cooperatives were also trained on the Child Labor Monitoring and Remediation System (CLMRS) and the fight against child labor and forced labor as part of the CLMRS/HRDD project.
