Water Changes Everything: How the MOFA Project Transformed Nasho from Uncertainty to Opportunity
In Nasho Sector, safe water is no longer a distant hope, it is transforming lives every day. Through the Nasho Water Supply System (MOFA 4 Project), supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and implemented by WaterAid Rwanda in partnership with local authorities and communities, a 30-kilometre pipeline now delivers clean and reliable water to homes, schools, and health facilities.
Beyond infrastructure, the project has strengthened hygiene practices, improved health services, supported education, and empowered communities with the skills to manage and sustain their water systems. From reduced time spent fetching water to safer healthcare and improved learning environments, this is more than access.
It is more than infrastructure it is dignity, health, and opportunity flowing together.
