On 28 May 2026, WaterAid Rwanda joined local leaders, health professionals, community members, and partners in Cyanika Community, Nyamagabe District, to commemorate Menstrual Hygiene Management Day 2026 under the global theme "Together for a #PeriodFriendlyWorld." The event created a safe space for open dialogue on menstrual health and hygiene, helping to challenge stigma, promote dignity, and strengthen community support for girls and women. Through testimonies, discussions, and expert insights, participants highlighted the importance of involving men and boys in advancing menstrual health and creating supportive environments where menstruation is understood and respected. At WaterAid Rwanda, we are committed to ensuring that everyone, everywhere has access to clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene—essential services that enable girls and women to manage menstruation safely and with dignity.
