Con más de 27,000 promotoras, su labor de prevención en anemia, dengue y salud materna es fundamental para las comunidades, llegando donde el personal de salud no alcanza. A pesar de su esfuerzo, su labor de cuidados sigue siendo invisibles para el Estado.
