Dr. Samundra Gurung is a medical doctor, artist, writer, and plant hobbyist based in Kathmandu. He is the co-founder of Queering Medicine, a medical circle dedicated to advocating for queer health. Recognizing the insensitivity of the current health system towards the queer community, Samundra advocates for incorporating a queer lens and sensitivity into healthcare through Queering Medicine. He effectively combines art and science to simplify complex aspects of his work. Accountability Incubator is the flagship program of Accountability Lab that supports young people with their idea to build sustainable, effective tools for accountability, participation and open government. It provides a non-prescriptive, yet supportive environment for creative, enterprising individuals who bring innovative ideas to inspire accountability in their communities. These selected “Accountapreneurs” receive a year of hands-on, comprehensive support including: training and knowledge-building, mentoring, network building, and media outreach support based on their needs and requirements.
