On the sidelines of the Isiolo ECD Data Visualization Platform Co-Creation Workshop, county stakeholders shared their perspectives on the unique data needs, priorities, and realities that shape Early Childhood Development (ECD) programming in the county. The conversations explored how better data can support planning, coordination, and investment in services that help children aged 0–6 years achieve their full developmental potential. Stakeholders highlighted the importance of capturing and integrating data across sectors, including health, early learning, and child protection, to provide a more complete picture of children's wellbeing. The discussions also underscored the challenges of delivering and monitoring services in a county characterized by vast distances, dispersed populations, infrastructure gaps, limited digital connectivity, and the effects of historical marginalization. Participants emphasized the need for context-specific solutions that make data more accessible, actionable, and responsive to local priorities. These insights directly inform the design of the ECD Data Visualization Platform, ensuring it reflects Isiolo's realities and supports evidence-based decision-making to improve outcomes for young children and their families.
