Ensuring mental health support after a crisis

Trúc remembers lying awake at night, afraid that everything could happen again. Mental health is often one of the most overlooked impacts of climate-related disasters on children. Fear, anxiety, and stress can continue long after a crisis, affecting how children learn and connect with themselves and their communities. With support from the Government of UK, UNICEF has worked with government partners, education specialists, and schools to help children affected by last year’s floods access mental health and psychosocial support at school.
