What comes after emergency relief is recovery. For Ánh’s family, who were hit hard by the floods in late 2025, recovery meant repairing damaged water pipes, fixing the toilet, and returning to daily life without constant worry about basic sanitation. With support from EU Humanitarian Aid through UNICEF, 1,450 households affected by successive typhoons and floods in Gia Lai province, including Ánh’s, have received cash assistance to restore water and sanitation. Restoring these essential services is a critical step in helping families rebuild and adapt to future shocks.
