UNICEF and Czechia - Three Years of Refugee Response Partnership (2022-2025)
For three years, UNICEF and the Government of Czechia have worked together to support refugee children and youth from Ukraine. Since 2022, more than 450,000 refugees have accessed essential services through this partnership.
Through close collaboration with ministries, municipalities, civil society, academia and the private sector, we have strengthened systems to promote inclusion for every child:
- 179,000+ children and young people reached with formal and non-formal education
- 17,000+ teachers and school staff trained in inclusive education, Czech as a second language, and psychosocial support
- 11,700+ young children accessing early learning in play and learning centres
- 75,000+ children and women receiving primary healthcare
- 370,000 children and caregivers accessing mental health and psychosocial support
- Strengthened child protection systems, including support for unaccompanied children and children with disabilities
