Some things children refuse to leave behind, even in displacement. For Lynn, it was her cat. In a school turned shelter, she stays close to what feels like home, holding on to small moments of comfort. In times of war, children with disabilities face greater risks. Through the National Disability Allowance, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the European Union, UNICEF and ILO support over 38,000 persons with disabilities with monthly cash transfers. Among them, 12,000 families including 17,500 children received urgent cash assistance when they needed it most. Children in #Lebanon need more than a pause in hostilities, they need stability, protection, and the chance to keep growing, learning, and dreaming. بعض الأشياء يرفض الأطفال تركها خلفهم، حتى في حالات النزوح. بالنسبة للين، كانت قطّتها. في مدرسة تحوّلت إلى مركز إيواء، تبقى قريبة مما يشبه المنزل، متمسّكة بلحظات صغيرة من الراحة. في أوقات الحرب، يواجه الأطفال ذوو الإعاقة مخاطر أكبر. ومن خلال برنامج البدل النقدي للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، تدعم وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية، والاتحاد الأوروبي، واليونيسف، ومنظمة العمل الدولية أكثر من 38,000 شخص ذوي الإعاقة عبر تحويلات نقدية شهرية. ومن بينهم، تلقت 12,000 أسرة، تضم 17,500 طفلاً، مساعدات نقدية طارئة عندما كانوا في أمسّ الحاجة إليها. يحتاج الأطفال في #لبنان إلى أكثر من مجرد وقف للأعمال العدائية – يحتاجون إلى الاستقرار والحماية، وإلى فرصة لمواصلة النمو والتعلّم والحلم.
