Ruti Teitel on How US Presidents Confront the Nation's Past
"What we're seeing is a kind of revisiting of an earlier history," said Ruti Teitel, Co-Director of the Center for International Law, New York Law School, at last night's event on How US Presidents confront the nation's past. "A kind of embracing or appropriation of the US role in the Americas pre-World War I and World War II."
Teitel joined Council President and CEO Leslie Vinjamuri in a conversation about the contents of her book, Presidential Visions of Transitional Justice.
This event is part of the Council's America at 250 initiative focused on the critical questions that will define America's future. Watch the full conversation on our YouTube channel or at globalaffairs.org.
