The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), in collaboration with India Habitat Centre (IHC), launched the TERI–IHC Lecture Series, a monthly public dialogue platform dedicated to fostering informed discussions on sustainability, climate change, energy transitions, technology, and India’s development future. The inaugural lecture, “The Climate Conundrum: Global Geopolitics and Missed Opportunities,” held on 8 June 2026, brought together leading policymakers, diplomats, researchers, and thought leaders to examine the increasingly complex intersection of climate action, geopolitics, development priorities, and international cooperation. The session featured a video message from Dr Vibha Dhawan, Director General, TERI, and opening remarks by Prof. (Dr) KG Suresh, Director, India Habitat Centre. Setting the context, Ms Suruchi Bhadwal, Director, TERI, highlighted the urgent realities of rising global temperatures and the widening gap between climate ambition and action.
