The Mission LiFE Youth Ambassador Programme, an initiative by UNDP and TERI, was officially launched during the valedictory session of the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) 2026- TERI’s premier flagship, global platform on sustainability and climate action. The programme aims to mobilize youth across India as champions of sustainable lifestyles, beginning with the Zero Waste Campus League to drive tangible action on waste reduction, resource efficiency, and circular economy practices within higher education institutions. Bringing together policymakers, thought leaders, academia, and youth representatives, the launch marks a significant step toward institutionalizing youth-led climate action at scale. Through a structured, technology-enabled engagement model, the programme will enable campuses to become living laboratories of sustainability, fostering behaviour change, innovation, and leadership. This initiative reflects a powerful multi-stakeholder collaboration to advance Mission LiFE and build a generation of informed, responsible, and action-oriented changemakers.
