Wetland Restoration in western Beijing
Forests do far more than store carbon, they help sustain the freshwater systems millions of people rely on every day.
In western Beijing, Conservation International and partners are supporting sustainable forest management efforts in the Yong Ding River watershed, a critical water source for more than 7 million people.
Through hands-on volunteer conservation work, teams are helping restore small wetlands that support biodiversity, strengthen local ecosystems, and improve long-term water resilience.
