UNDP Hands Over ICT Equipment to 14 Cell Offices in Southern Rwanda
Bringing digital public services closer to citizens.
UNDP Rwanda Resident Representative Fatmata Lovetta Sesay, alongside Southern Province Governor Kayitesi Alice and officials from the Ministry of Local Government (MINALOC), handed over ICT equipment, including laptops and printers, to 14 electrified cell offices in Nyamagabe and Nyaruguru Districts.
Building on existing solar electrification efforts, the equipment will help local offices deliver Irembo and other e-government services more efficiently, especially in off-grid and hard-to-reach communities.
The delegation also visited Nyanza District to review progress on Imihigo Performance Capacity Building, congratulate district leaders on achieving their first clean audit, and assess rehabilitation works at the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Centre, implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Justice.
This initiative reflects a shared commitment by UNDP, MINALOC, the Ministry of Justice, and local authorities to strengthen local governance and bring quality public services closer to the people.
